These Proofing Baskets, also called Bannetons or Brotformen, are made by Germany's foremost supplier of proofing baskets, allowing both Professional as well as Home Bakers to create stunning looking bread.

Developed over nearly 3 years, these baskets REALLY WORK! [unlike imitations!]

Unlike cane or wicker baskets, these plastic, food graded (HACCP) Proofing Baskets do not have to be lined or heavily floured, and require virtually No Maintenance! They work beautifully, every time!

They hold the form of your dough until such time it is ready to be put into your oven!

These proofing baskets are food graded, dishwasher safe, and can be used to (snap) freeze your dough.

Bannetons are a favorite of artisan bakers for raising their bread dough. The basket coils provide a beautiful shape and decor for a traditional hearth loaf look.

Each basket has some 80+ "vents", which allows the dough skin to breath during proofing, for better crust appearance and development. They also aid in easily releasing the dough from the basket, prior to baking. [we've seen others with as little as 24 vents - some with no vents at all! ]

The proofing baskets can be "floured" for interesting visual results, or simply sprayed with some cooking oil [1].
